About Us

Equine Therapeutic Center in Rougemont, North Carolina

Circle of Oaks is an equine therapeutic center for women, who come here for life coaching and personal growth and development using horses. Our clients do not ride here. All our interactions with the horses are done from the ground.

Who we are:

Mary Lee Lobach MDESMHL, our owner and barn manager, oversees the horses during client sessions and cares for them during off hours. She is a life-long horsewoman, a former OBGYN physician, and a certified Equine Specialist with PATH International. Our life coaches and mental health providers are certified life coaching practitioners and licensed therapists who are experienced in working with horses in sessions with clients. Our horses are our partners and team members in serving our clients.

What we love:

The company of women. The company of horses. Watching women grow through self-discovery and insight, helped by the big heart of a horse. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The presence of God.

Horses tell us the truth. They help us see ourselves, our patterns, assumptions, coping strategies, and how we impact those around us. All our work with horses is done from the ground.

Horse Boarding

Join our program and board your horse at Circle of Oaks. We provide full-service pasture board with stall access for our small gelding herd with individualized care and attention.

“We long to feel connected. We desire above all else to be seen for who we truly are. Horses, through their very nature, provide this for us.”
